I have been a friend, companion and sister to many young people who are silenced by all sorts of trauma in different levels. I am really into peer-counselling. This means I have to be the 'voice' of reason to someone who feels trapped and sees no escape. This also means that as a young person myself, I have to lead by example and practice what I preach. In Africa, despite all of its told problems, there is warmth, hope and satsification in everyones face. There is true humanity in community and indeed there is a great energy for them to realise their dreams.
